Meet The Author

Melissa Anne Higgins

When I was a kid, my goal was to be happy. Somewhere along the way, I learned that happiness doesn’t come from getting everything right the first time. It comes from making the best plan you can, trying, adjusting, and trying again.

I use this process in business, in writing, and in life. If you keep adjusting and keep working, over time you build something that didn’t exist before. And somewhere along that road, you realize the work and the growth were where the happiness was all along.

My father’s story didn’t end with the war. It continued through me.

And now through my stories.

Two for Victory

To keep her job, she had to figure out why her first ad campaign was failing.

When a young college graduate replaces an award-winning Madison Avenue copywriter who leaves for war, she inherits a wartime recruitment campaign on the brink of failure. Trusting the one person who knows it best, she turns to the man whose work she inherited. Together, they save the campaign and discover a love that must survive separation, sacrifice, and the uncertainties of war.
